8 Best Music Videos Made By Bored US Soldiers In Iraq

CLICK HERE TO SEE TODAY’S BEST OF THE WEB COMEDY VIDEOS!

There’s not a lot of lighthearted news coming out of Iraq these days, but we recently came across a ton of music videos that the soldiers there are apparently making in their free time. Here’s 8 of the best ones we found and it’s nice to see that they’re managing to make the best of a bad situation. If you like what you see, please pass these videos on to your friends and let’s help get all these guys the attention they deserve. Our thoughts are with them…and their sweet dance moves.

8. WHAT IS LOVE?
The head-bobbing dance move to this Haddaway dance track that Saturday Night Live made famous is every bit as entertaining when done by soldiers.

7. THIS IS WHY I’M HOT
What better setting than a desert for a rendition of one of the biggest hip hop jams of the past few years. And this one even comes with some customized lyrics.

6. SMOOTH CRIMINAL
This one is more of a solo showcase, but we appreciate the respect that the star of this video gets from his peers.

5. PEANUT BUTTER JELLY TIME
The only thing better than a bunch of soldiers dancing, is a bunch of soldiers dancing behind other soldiers who don’t know that there are people dancing behind them.

4. WHAT A FEELING/ELECTRIC AVENUE
These guys really went all out with a Celine Dion opening, a Flashdance sequence, and then a big “Electric Avenue” finish.

3. IS THIS THE WAY TO AMARILLO?
This is one of the more obscure songs for soldiers to re-create, but it leads to one of the most entertaining videos.

2. MOVE IT
Watching this is just like watching Soul Train…only completely different.

1. ICE ICE BABY
Not only is this impossible to beat because it’s based around a Vanilla Ice song, but it also features the most clever introduction sequence of any of the videos we’ve seen.

Number 3…yup..British soldiers, and it’s the best, not because they are British…just as it’s the best. simple, one take. But they are all good!

Two nations separated by a common language…and a great big fucking ocean thank Christ!

I think this is awesome…it’s heart wrenching to think of our troops over there, and it’s also heart wrenching watching the news reports coming in on how many our lost.

To see the attitudes to keep themselves going does a person good.

As its been said previously, No.3 is definately a British vid, a spoof of one that was huge here a good while ago featuring Peter Kay. If you care, look it up on Youtube! I’m really glad that these guys get the chance to spend a few minutes doing these things. They earnt every second of respite and if it makes them smile, which it clearly does then its a job well done! Regardless of your feelings about the war in general remember that these men and women are somebodys someone and just earning a living and hoping to get home.
